Environmental IssuesOne of Russia’s major drawbacks is its environmental issues. Two of the more controversial and major issues is the pollution and deforestation. Water and air pollution are the most hurtful to the environment. In Russia almost half of the water is polluted which lead to several health concerns and the country is also the most air-polluted country in the world. Russia has produced over 43 million tons of air pollutants throughout the 1990s but has slowly decreased that number. Deforestation is caused by problems such as excessive and illegal logging which has caused Russia to lose an average of $1 billion every year. Russia loses over 15 million hectares of forest every year due to logging and pollution. This hasn’t gotten any better as the plan for forest protection policies hasn’t worked out well.

Taxation PolicyThe Russian Federation’s primary tax law is the Russian Tax Code which has some stages including the general part and the second part. The general part manages the relationship between taxpayers, agents, authorities, legislators, etc. The second part elaborates on types of taxes, schedules, rates, and calculations. The tax system is concentrated on a federal state and uses flat/regressive tax rates. As of 2016, plans have been made from the government to use tax incentive measure to encourage investment as well as to improve tax administration system with anti-crisis tax measures. Russia also has a uniform rate of tax which says that tax in Russia is payable at 13% for an individual.
